This Blackhawk Diff Drop Kit is fitted to the front differential mounting points of your vehicle. It is an essential modification for any Navara D27 or Triton MV that has been fitted with a suspension lift of 2 inches or more. When you lift your vehicle, the angle of the front driveshafts (CV shafts) becomes steeper, placing excessive stress on the CV joints and the protective rubber boots. This kit includes precision-engineered spacers and brackets to lower the front differential by 25mm, correcting the driveshaft geometry and returning the CV joints to a more optimal operating angle.
If you don't correct the severe CV joint angle on a lifted vehicle, the joints and boots will wear out prematurely. This can lead to torn boots, allowing dirt and water to contaminate and destroy the joint. Ultimately, this can result in a catastrophic failure of the CV joint, leaving you stranded with a broken axle and potentially facing a very expensive recovery and repair bill.
