Genuine Nissan Glow Plug Relay TD42 ZD30 - Nissan Patrol Y60 GQ & Y61 GU

Genuine Nissan Glow Plug Relay - Patrol GQ GU TD42 ZD30

Located within the engine bay, the Glow Plug Relay is a critical component of your diesel vehicle's starting system. This Genuine Nissan Glow Plug Relay acts as a high-current switch, precisely controlling the power supplied to the glow plugs. A functioning relay is essential for pre-heating the engine's combustion chambers, allowing for quick and reliable starts, especially in cold weather. Over time, the internal contacts of the relay can wear out or fail, preventing the glow plugs from heating up correctly.

If you're experiencing hard starting, excessive cranking, or large amounts of white smoke on startup, a faulty glow plug relay is a likely culprit. Neglecting to replace a failing relay can lead to a complete no-start situation, leaving you stranded, particularly on a cold morning when you need your vehicle most.

Note: Please check your glow plug relay to see if it is the same as this one or the other type, as there are two different ones it could possibly be for your vehicle. If unsure, please provide us with a VIN before purchasing.

NOTE: Later model vehicles don't run this relay and use a glow timer module instead.
