Raceworks - Electronic Diesel Boost Gauge Kit (30psi) 52mm

Raceworks - Electronic Diesel Boost Gauge Kit (30psi) 52mm

This Raceworks Electronic Boost Gauge is designed to be fitted inside your vehicle's cabin, typically on the dashboard, A-pillar, or a custom gauge holder. It provides a real-time display of the boost pressure being produced by your vehicle's turbocharger. This kit is a vital tool for any owner of a turbocharged diesel vehicle, especially those that have been modified or are used for heavy towing.

Monitoring boost pressure is critical for engine health and performance. It allows you to ensure your turbo is operating within its safe and efficient range. Without this crucial information, you may not be aware of potentially damaging conditions like over-boosting or performance-robbing issues like boost leaks.

Failure to monitor boost can lead to serious and expensive engine damage. An over-boost situation can cause blown head gaskets, damaged pistons, and catastrophic turbocharger failure. Conversely, an undetected boost leak (under-boost) will lead to a significant loss of power, poor fuel economy, and higher exhaust gas temperatures, which can damage engine components over time.
