The alternator is a critical part of your Navara's charging system, fitted to the front of the engine and driven by the fan belt. Its job is to generate electrical power to recharge the battery and run all your vehicle's electronics while the engine is on. When an alternator fails due to worn bearings, brushes, or internal electrical faults, your battery will no longer charge. Ignoring a failing alternator, often indicated by a battery warning light on the dash, will lead to a flat battery and a ute that won't start, potentially leaving you stranded.
This alternator is specifically for Thai Built models where the Vehicle Identification Number starts with 'MNT'. It is not suitable for Spanish Built models.
