Located at the top of the engine the intercooler is a critical component of your Navara's turbo system. This JAYAIR aftermarket intercooler is designed to cool the compressed air from the turbocharger before it enters the engine. This process creates a denser air charge, allowing for a more efficient combustion process, which in turn generates more power and torque.
Over time, the original intercooler can develop leaks from age, impacts, or corrosion. It can also become internally clogged with oil residue. A faulty intercooler leads to a loss of boost pressure, resulting in a noticeable decrease in engine performance, poor fuel economy, and increased engine temperatures.
