This is a Genuine Nissan Auto Belt Tensioner to suit the above vehicles with the 2.3L Diesel Engine ( YS23 / M9T )
Over time and general wear and tear, this auto tensioner will just loose a bit of its tension causing the belt to not be as tight and causing slippage.
Can be found on the front of the engine next to the harmonic balancer.
