This is a high-strength Inconel 625 exhaust manifold stud, designed as a direct-fit, heavy-duty replacement for the factory studs that secure the exhaust manifold to the cylinder head. Factory steel studs are prone to stretching, fatiguing, and snapping under the extreme heat cycles of a turbo diesel engine, which can lead to frustrating exhaust leaks and potentially warp the manifold. This Inconel stud is engineered to withstand these high temperatures without failing, providing a reliable, long-term solution to a common weak point on TD42, ZD30 and TD27 engines.

• Solves Common Faults: The definitive fix for ticking exhaust leaks (especially on cold starts) and black soot marks around the manifold gasket, which are classic signs of failed or broken factory studs.
• Direct-Fit Design: Engineered as a direct replacement for the original stud for a precise fit. Please note: 12 studs are required for a TD42 engine, and 8 studs are required for a ZD30 engine.
• Essential Extras: A new exhaust manifold gasket is required when replacing these studs. For best results and even clamping pressure, it is highly recommended to replace all studs as a complete set.
