This kit provides all the essential gaskets for fitting the turbocharger to the engine. These gaskets create critical seals between the turbocharger housing, the exhaust manifold, and the various oil and coolant supply and return lines. This kit is required whenever the turbocharger is removed for replacement or servicing to ensure a leak-free installation.
Failing to replace old, compressed, or heat-damaged gaskets can lead to serious performance and safety issues. A leaking exhaust gasket will cause a loss of boost pressure, resulting in poor acceleration, decreased power, and higher fuel consumption. An oil or coolant leak can starve the turbo of vital lubrication and cooling, leading to catastrophic turbo failure and potential engine damage. In a worst-case scenario, leaking oil can drip onto the hot exhaust manifold, creating a significant fire risk.
