This Blackhawk Upper Control Arm (UCA) is a direct replacement for the factory upper control arms located in the front suspension of your vehicle. It connects the top of the steering knuckle to the vehicle's chassis, playing a crucial role in wheel alignment and suspension geometry.
When you lift your vehicle's suspension, the original factory control arms are put on an extreme angle, which severely impacts the wheel alignment, specifically the caster and camber. This upgraded UCA is specifically designed with built-in caster and camber correction to restore the proper geometry on a lifted vehicle, allowing a wheel alignment specialist to set your vehicle correctly.
If you don't install corrected UCAs after lifting your vehicle, you will likely experience poor handling, vague or "flighty" steering at highway speeds, and accelerated, uneven tyre wear. This not only makes the vehicle less safe to drive but also leads to costly premature tyre replacement.
