Winch Pinion Gear XP High Mount - Warn M8274 6hp & 4.6hp

Your Warn M8274 High Mount is an absolute beast, but even the toughest gear has its limits. That pinion gear cops a massive amount of stress every time you're on a hard pull, and it's often the first thing to give way. When it strips or shatters, your winch is nothing more than a heavy bumper ornament, leaving you properly stuck with no way out. It’s a small part that plays a massive role in getting your vehicle home safely.

On an early model hi-mount winch the 2.7hp motor is driven by a keyed shaft. if you want to update to the more common 4.6hp or 6hp Motors then this Pinion gear is required to match the motor up to the main gear.

It is easy to change or inspect to see if required, by removing the top hat from your high mount winch. be careful not to dislodge the main gear when removing and refiting the motor as this will require more disassembly to rectify.
