This fuel injector is located in the cylinder head of your vehicle's engine, with the nozzle protruding into the combustion chamber. It is responsible for delivering a precise, atomised spray of diesel fuel required for efficient combustion. Over time, injectors can become clogged with contaminants, suffer from internal wear, or experience electronic failure, leading to incorrect fuel delivery.
A faulty injector can cause a range of issues, from a noticeable drop in performance and poor fuel economy to excessive black smoke from the exhaust, rough idling, and difficulty starting. If left unaddressed, a severely malfunctioning injector - especially one stuck open - can cause catastrophic engine damage, including piston and cylinder bore failure.
It comes with 5 upper injector gaskets, in case you just need to just change the one injector, as you need to undo them all to replace the one. It is recommended to replace the whole set at the same time though.
